The wardrobe of Kim Kardashian-West can be a rollercoaster of style with more twists and turns than Space Mountain at Disneyland.

Love her or loathe her, there's no denying that Kim has spearheaded some pretty major trends (and no, we're not talking about that latex dress or Met Gala ensemble circa 2013).

Rather, Kim is responsible for coining a plethora of trends. From cycling shorts to blindingly-bright neon via snakeskin boots, Kim has a habit of pulling off looks the general population wouldn't contemplate wearing with aplomb.

But she hasn't always been so trailblazing when it comes to matters of the wardrobe, and credits husband Kanye West with her major style transformation.

Previously favouring a far simpler, less 'high-fashion', aesthetic, Kim regularly admits that Kanye had a huge influence on her style choices.

"I always ask his opinion on everything and he always helps me put together my looks", she revealed. "Kanye's definitely inspired me to be a little bit more of an individual. I think my style is just evolving and changing and I think it should," Kim explained during an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians.

She's come a long way since her days of bodycon minis and cropped shirts, with many of the world's top designers vying for her attention and handful of Vogue covers under her belt.

A busy working mother-of-four, Kim also recently gave an insight into her number one styling hack for curating her wardrobe - and it's as fantastically extra as the star herself.

Speaking to People Magazine, Kim revealed that when she really can't be arsed, she sends actual models with the same measurements as her to go and try clothes on for her.

Explaining the concept in greater detail, she said: "There are fit models — we have gotten people who have my exact same measurements — and they try on all the clothes, photograph it, do the fittings for hours every day of all the different Yeezy looks."

"At one point I sent over my entire closet to my husband's office, I had full time security because I was so nervous. But that was just to photograph it with the fit models there and put looks together."

If only we had the money to hire people to try clothes on for us...
